Child Therapy

Childhood is a time for growth and exploration, this journey of discovery is rarely a straight line or a clear path. Children can thrive with proper supports and skillsets when navigating particular milestones, transitions, social, emotional and academic situations.

Individual child therapy is a process through which children will work one-on-one in a safe, caring, and interactive environment. Children will explore and learn about their feelings, beliefs, and/or behaviours, work through challenges they face or influential memories and experiences, learn to identify problems and opportunities for growth and strategy use, better understand themselves and others, work towards therapeutic goals, desired changes and overall happiness and success.

What to expect

After the completion of a 15-minute consultation, clients will partake in a intake session. Intake sessions last between 30-45 minutes, and it is a time for both the client and psychotherapists to get to know one another. For more information on booking an intake, please click here.

All services are rendered by a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and may be subject for reimbursement with your extended health benefits, employee benefits program, or may be submitted as a medical/health expense when filing your income tax. The individual seeking services is responsible for checking with their benefits provider and seeking reimbursement directly.

All sessions can be booked, adjusted, and cancelled online for your convenience. All sessions are available over the phone or delivered over a secure PHIPA compliant platform so you can rest easy, knowing that your session meets Ontario’s and the CRPO’s health information privacy guidelines.
